IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FILLING APPLICATION FORM :
- Write all the alphabets and numbers in the black ink ball point pen and darken all the desired/required circles with HB pencil.
- After pasting the photograph at Item No. 11, see to it that the gum dries up completely. Otherwise, after folding the application form the wet gum may spoil and obliterate the circles/bar codes.
- Do not staple the enclosures with the application form.

- I belong to an OBC/SEBC category. How much is the Application Form fee for me?
The Application form fee for GPAT 2010 Examination for OBC/SEBC category applicants is same as that of General category applicants i.e. Rs.1000/-
- I am a B. Pharm. Third year student. Can I appear for GPAT-2010?
No. B. Pharm. Third year students are not eligible for GPAT 2010 Examination.
- I am a B. Pharm. Final year student. How should I fill item No. 9 and 10 in the application form?
Darken the “No” circle in item No. 9 and write “2010” in item No. 10 and darken the appropriate circles.
- I have purchased the application form from the Bank. How should I fill item No.16?
In this case, do not fill anything under Item No. 16. This item is for those applicants who are obtaining application form by sending a DD to the GPAT office.
- Can I make a DD from State Bank of India for obtaining the application form?
DD can be obtained from any of the Nationalized Banks in the name of “GPAT” and should be payable at Vadodara.
- How can I obtain an application form from GPAT Office?
Send a request letter (format given in the website) along with two self -addressed slips (4” X 2.5” in size) and a DD of Rs. 1000/- or Rs. 500/- as applicable. Do not send any empty envelop along with the request letter.
- What are the enclosures required for sending the completed application form to GPAT Office?
Along with the completed application from, send the following documents in the same white envelop which has been provided to you :
- Original copy of Bank’s Pay-in-slip (if purchased from the bank). (This is not required for those applicants who have purchased the application form from the GPAT Office by sending a DD).
- Relevant SC/ST/OBC/PD certificate. For OBC/SEBC category a “Non-creamy layer Certificate is also required to be enclosed. (This is not applicable for general category students).
- Write your address with black ball pen in capital letters on the acknowledgement card and affix postage stamp of Rs.6/-
Write your Name, Address and First Choice of City in the relevant columns on the White envelop in CAPITAL LETTERS with black ball point pen.
- I have forgotten to write the year of qualifying exam in Item No. 10?
A chance is given to you to rectify your mistake. You can approach the GPAT Office and make necessary changes in the application form personally.
- My son is studying in Bangalore. Can I fill the form on his behalf?
No, the application form has to be filled in by the candidate in his own hand writing.
- I am living in a village near Jalandhar. Where from I can get the application form?
You can obtain the application form in two ways :
- You can write a request letter (format given) to GPAT Office, along with two self-addressed slips (4” X 2.5”) and a DD of Rs. 1000/- or Rs. 5000/- as per the category in favour of “GPAT” payable at Vadodara.
- You can purchase the form from the nearest specified Bank of Baroda branch (as given the site, state-wise) by paying the money in cash [In this case the nearest branch could be Bhatinda (obtained by clicking at Punjab) or Chandigarh (obtained by clicking at Union territory)]
- Can I get an application form by paying cash from GPAT Office?
No, GPAT Office will issue forms only by accepting DD (neither cheque nor cash).
- Can I purchase GPAT 2010 Application Form from any of the banks in my city?
No, GPAT 2010 application forms are not available in all the banks or all the branches of Bank of Baroda. The forms are made available only in selected branches of Bank of Baroda in selected cities. The details of these selected branches are given in the website.
- I have visited www.gpat.in website but I am not able to find out the list of these bank branches in the site. Where from I can get this list?
In the website www.gpat.in, the availability of forms is given in different links, state wise. If you click the state, it will show the details of these bank branches. Followings are the links for state-wise list of Banks :
- Under the “Quick links”, click on ‘Designated branches of Bank of Baroda’.
- In the link on “How to Apply” various hyperlinks are given for ‘Designated branches of Bank of Baroda.
- How many times I can appear in GPAT?
Currently there is no such limit for appearing in GPAT 2010 examination for eligible candidates.
- I am a Pharmacy Graduate. Whether I need to appear for GPAT 2010, JAM 2010 or GATE 2010?
Pharmacy graduates need to appear in GPAT 2010 only in order to be eligible for scholarship in M.Pharm courses. GPAT is a new name for GATE for Pharmacy graduates from 2010 onwards.
- I am studying in Bangalore and our final examinations start in the month of September. Is my GPAT score valid for getting admission to M. Pharm in 2011?
GPAT 2010 score is valid for one year from the date of announcement of the result. If you are applying before 24th May 2011 then you should be eligible for getting the admission.
- I am PD category student. How much percentage of handicap is required to get the concession in the application form?
Disability certificate with any percentage issued by appropriate medical authority entitles a person to avail concession in application fee (i.e. for such candidates the application fee is Rs. 500/-). However, the rules for admission to M.Pharm course for PD candidates can vary from one institution to other, and this can not be linked to concession in the Application fee.
- Shall I get the stipend once I clear the GPAT 2010examination?
We can not guarantee a stipend/scholarship/fellowship for those students who qualify GPAT2010 examination. Qualifying in GPAT2010 examination is the minimum eligibility for getting scholarship. This in an issue which is linked to the institution where you take admission in M.Pharm course. However, after getting admission in M.Pharm course, one can apply to AICTE through one’s institution for fellowship/scholarship.
- Shall I get the admission to Ph.D. once I clear GPAT examination?
GPAT 2010 Examination can not be linked to Ph.D. admission/registration. However, some agencies/institutions may fix the GATE/GPAT2010 qualification as the minimum eligibility for admission/registration for Doctor of Philosophy.
- How do I come to know whether my application has reached GPAT2010 Office?
You can find the status of your application by visiting the website www.gpat.in and giving the desired input i.e. Application Number.
